The Billing Address designation comes up when an address has been added only the point of checking out and which does not exist as any other address designation in the system. If a person has either a home or work address in their profile, the checkout will present those as options for the person to select. Or the consumer can enter a different billing address to use with that specific payment method.
The billing address is only intended to be used for online transactions as some cards do require a billing address that is different than a home or mailing address. However, the billing address normally does not get reflected in any pre-made reports generated from Eleyo (only work or home addresses are included).
If the billing address is not correct, for data security, it is recommended that the consumer correct it by navigating to Saved Payment Methods (found in the bottom footer) then selecting the desired payment method and selecting Remove to enter it new before completing a new online transaction. If staff is making a payment on the Admin side, they can add a new billing address when the payment is being processed.
