This article outlines image sizes for designing your Welcome Page using the Snippet menu. Snippets use pre-made HTML code to quickly create an eye-catching and functional Welcome page for consumers.
Before customizing your Welcome page, it can be helpful to ensure your images are a size that is compatible with the different online options.
Image Sizes and Sources
Use the image sizes below as a guide for the best image to replace a snippet image. If using images from a desktop/laptop computer, you can hover over a .png or .jpg file name to reveal the pixel size. You can open the image in Microsoft Paint (included on most Windows computers) and use the Resize tool to view and/or adjust the size. You can also upload your image to an Online Image Tool to determine size if needed.
Additional resources for royalty free images with pixel size listed are Pixabay, Unsplash, and/or Pexels.
To create your own image or resize an existing image, you can create a free account on Canva, then create a new design with the applicable pixel size.
Once you have a plan for your Welcome page design and the pictures you are going to utilize within it, please use the steps below to start customizing. Note: Once changes are made and saved, there is not a way to revert to a previous version.
Use the following steps to access the Snippet menu and upload pictures:
- Log into your Admin Dashboard.
- Navigate to your Welcome Page using the Go to Online (with the tv/monitor icon in the top left blue toolbar).
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the Edit Page button.
- The Snippet menu will appear on the left hand side of your screen. Drag and drop the desired snippet to your page. When you select within the snippet, the placement will be indicated by a gray dashed line or bar. You can replace the stock image in the snippet by hovering over the image and selecting the Camera icon. Note: If using Chrome as your browser, you may need to use the zoom feature to enlarge the browser to be able to access the icon.
- Once you have selected the Camera icon and uploaded an image, you will see the following menu.

Shrink image size within the visual template
Enlarge image size within the visual template
No Crop* (see details below)

*When selecting the option No Crop, the system will add the image file at actual size and maintain the correct one. You will not see a preview but it will fill the snippet image field. No crop is best used for snippets when you intend to display the actual image dimensions without the snippet restrictions.
All images used for the snippet must be the same size when selecting No Crop, otherwise, your images will display inconsistently and the alignment can not be adjusted back to the original.
6. Once the changes have been made, select Save Changes at the bottom.
7. Once all customizing has been completed, select Exit Edit Mode.
