There are multiple locations to locate a payment. From any show page, there is the magnifying glass that will display more detail for that payment. From a list view, there is a Show Payment button to see those details.
When looking at the show page, on the left is the Created date, the Settled date and Deposit date. If the payment shows a Settled date, it has been transmitted to the bank and will be deposited to the district. Credit Card transactions are either approved or declined immediately. If approved, the transaction generally settles the same day. If the payment is being created by staff and is declined, the system will display the reason immediately on the screen. If it was an automatic payment that was not successful, the system will reflect the reason in the line item for that transaction (ie. Do Not Honor is a straight decline from the bank). See more details on declined transactions. If a payment has been modified by staff, there will be History tab. The Finance list views (Payments, Refunds and/or Transactions) include an Updated and Delete columns.
ACH/echeck transactions can take 3-5 business days to settle. If there is an issue with the ACH transaction, notes will be displayed on the left indicating what the issue was (i.e. NSF/insufficient funds, no account/unable to locate account). To view payment information from the Finance module:
- Point to Finance.
- Select Payments.
- Search by Payer name or select View All.
- Locate and select the payment then select Show Payment.
