The system will automatically begin assessing Late Fees to the Child Care Account at 2:00am the day after an Invoice is due (plus the grace period which is found under Child Care > Programs). Late Fees are displayed as Adjustments on the Child Care Account's activity tab.
If necessary, you are able to remove Late Fees before the next Invoice is run the same way you can remove any other added Adjustment using the Remove icon. The Late Fee Adjustment name will now show the Invoice for which the Late Fee was assessed.
If the Late Fee displays 'Not Posted' in the Status column, it has not yet been added to an invoice. It will be picked up by the next mass or manual invoice that is created and the 'Not Posted' notation will no longer be displayed in the Activity tab.

Late payment fees and rules are set up at the Program level (Child Care > Programs > select and modify the program). Note: Leaving the Budget Code field blank when setting up Late Payment Fees at the Program level will assign the late payment fee adjustment to the first contract's site's budget code.
