A district can allow parents to register their student for any of the following five different contract types: Consistent Schedule, Pick Your Weeks, Pick Your Days, Drop-in only and/or Non-school Day only schedules. Contract Schedule Types are set up under Registration Options. While some districts allow parents to only register for a Consistent Schedule, others allow parents to choose between a Consistent Schedule or a Pick Your Days Schedule.
When a district offers multiple Contract types during the online registration process, a parent would see the available contract options as shown below. Once the preferred Contract Type is selected, the appropriate calendar view is displayed. Note: If your district only allows one type of Contract, the additional Schedule Types are not displayed to the parent. Also, only the appropriate calendar view would automatically be displayed.
Below is a description of each Contract Type with screen shots of the Public side as seen during the registration process.
A Consistent Schedule means the student attends the same (consistent) days every week during the contract. Though a parent may request a schedule change online (pending staff approval), it is not designed to be changed often.
The first date of attendance automatically defaults to the 1st possible date attendance is allowed based on preferences set within the Administrative Registration Options screen. When the schedule request is created beyond the restricted days allowed, the First Date of Attendance defaults to the first date the Site is available. Whether a parent can edit the start and end date is also an Administrative preference set within the Registration Options screen.
Below is an example of what a parent might see when requesting a Consistent Schedule.
When a district has a minimum number of days requirement, the system will not allow a parent to select any less than the required minimum. This is indicated when creating the Rates. Below is an example of a district that does not allow any less than 4 days per week for a Consistent Schedule (Note: the options for attends 1 day, attends 2 days and attend 3 days are not checked limiting the contracts to a minimum of 4 days). This is found under Child Care > Rates.
Pick Your Weeks
A Pick Your Weeks contract allows parents to select the weeks their child will attend consistent days. This contract type is particularly popular during the Summer season.
Below is an example of what a parent might see when requesting a Pick Your Weeks contract for their student.
Pick Your Days
A Pick Your Days contract type allows the parents to select requested dates from a calendar. A parent must pick at least 1 day with this contract type.
Below is an example of what a parent would see when requesting a Pick Your Days Contract for their child.
A Drop-in contract type allows the parents to create a contract, going through the registration questions, so they are able to make drop-in day requests online. No calendar options are displayed when a parent registers their student for a Drop-in only Contract. They can either select dates when creating the contract or skip the step without selecting any dates.
